FC Baltimore adds strength to strength, with the addition of another top level coach – Jim Fendryk Jr.

Brought up through the Baltimore area soccer system, coach Fendryk understands the local winning traditions better than anyone.  Having graduated Calvert Hall in 2001, he played youth soccer for Soccer Club of Baltimore Bays (where he was also a teammate of FC Baltimore assistant coach Mike Lookingland), and then attended and starred at UMBC.  After graduation he joined Christos FC, first as a player and later as a coach.
Since the time,  Fedryk Jr has held numerous top level coaching positions.  He has coached for the Christos FC, Baltimore Bays, as an assistant at CCBC Essex, and currently as a head coach at the John Carroll School.  Amazingly, he has won at each of his stops, with multiple national championships with Christos FC and NJCAA National Tournament Appearances with CCBC Essex.
Jody Haislip and Alex Lubyansky are thrilled to have Fendryk join the club.  Haislip states,  “Jimmy started playing for Christos after he graduated from UMBC. He is the type of guy or teammate you love having on your team as a player and even more as a person. He was always team first. His dedication, trust and honesty to the team always meant he was a great leader. Its not surprising he’s a teacher and high school soccer coach. He has built a great reputation on and off the field.  Its more than what you do; its how you do it and thats Jimmy. He will have a huge impact on these players lives, opportunities and careers.”
We know that he will pass his enthusiasm to the players.  As Fendryk says, “As someone who was born in Baltimore, played in Baltimore, and continues to coach in and around Baltimore, this means a lot to me.  I am really excited and very grateful to have been given the opportunity to continue to help local players take the next steps in their careers.”  We could not agree more!
