After an extensive coaching hunt for 2019, FC Baltimore is proud to announce Larry Sancomb as the new head coach of the ‘Roons.
With the new partnership between Christos FC and FC Baltimore, Sancomb brings synergy to the 2019 NPSL campaign. He was at the helm of Christos when they had a Cinderella run in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Off the field, he currently serves as the Vice President of Christos FC.
“We are thrilled to welcome Larry Sancomb to the ‘Roons,” states FC Baltimore Director of Soccer Operations Alex Lubyansky. “He took a local team and made them a national darling by scoring the first goal against DC United of Major League Soccer. We are confident he can create special moments for FC Baltimore Christos this upcoming season.”
Christos FC General Manager Jody Haislip adds, “Larry and I have been friends since 1983. He is trustworthy and always has your back. He works nonstop, acts with integrity and is dedicated to the game. I look forward to seeing him take FC Baltimore Christos to winning those National Titles he is so accustomed to winning.”
In addition to his success with Christos FC, Larry has been heavily involved with Olympic Development, High School, Youth and College Soccer in Baltimore since 1994.
Coach Sancomb states, “I am honored to be named the head coach of FC Baltimore Christos. FC Baltimore had an outstanding first year. I feel that we can grow this organization into something very special for the entire Baltimore community. I will work tirelessly to bring the best players to this organization. I feel with the Christos FC partnership and the relationships I have in the Baltimore metropolitan area we should be competing for titles on a regular basis.”
