FC Baltimore’s first ever stadium boasts 3,000 seats, a fully equipped press box with radio and video broadcasting capability, and, most importantly, cutting-edge field turf.
FC Baltimore has entered into an agreement with CCBC Essex for the 2018 season. After a brief period of negotiations the FC Baltimore management team, in conjunction with the University administration, came together to secure the first ever venue for the new club. The venue fits the FC Baltimore vision to a tee. The location, nested at the intersection of the city’s two major freeway arteries, provides easy access for fans. Fans from the city as well as the surrounding communities will all be able to unite at this great stadium to support their club.
The partnership with the CCBC Essex Knights represents a commitment to the local soccer community in Baltimore. Not only will FC Baltimore play at Essex Stadium – they will showcase an Essex soccer star. Jake Dengler competed for the Knights in the fall of 2017. In his historic season, he earned 1st Team Maryland JUCO, 1st Team NJCAA Region, and 2nd Team NJCAA Division 1 All-America Honors. At the completion of the FC Baltimore season, Dengler will continue his collegiate career at Loyola University Maryland.
The roster of FC Baltimore is packed with talent. The vast majority of the squad hails from Baltimore- but their prowess has taken them to universities across the nation. Once the team was granted a spot in the prestigious NPSL, the boys rushed to come back to town. This summer will be historic, as a team of this caliber in Baltimore will galvanize the city’s soccer community.
FC Baltimore fans will be in for a real treat at Essex. Not only is the stadium easy to reach from anywhere in Baltimore, but families will not have to scramble to find parking options. On-site parking is free! In addition, there is plenty of space for food concessions, merchandise vendors, and activity tents. The team is lining up local food favorites to please both the little ones and the parents. The 3,000 seat stadium will be jumping with excitement this summer as FC Baltimore opens their first NPSL campaign.
The stadium is located at 7201 Rossville Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21237. The FC Baltimore opening match will take place on May 11, 2018. The team will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the Northeast Conference in the NPSL. After a ten-match regular season, FC Baltimore will have the chance to compete for a Divisional Title. That could potentially lead to a Regional Title; and ultimately, a National Championship game. Players from the NPSL have gone on to compete professionally and feature for the United States Men’s National Team.
